Today's post didn't take long. I sat and produced it in about 35 minutes, while my son was in Taekwondo class. Once I had the idea, it just came out feverishly. That's one thing I'll say about being an artist, especially since I was one that spent the last 18 months trying to make a living at it. It's not easy all the time. It doesn't just come to you everyday. My thoughts about this remind me of my favorite Picasso quote, "Inspiration exists, it just has to find you working." As long as you keep at something you're passionate about, know that you'll have up days, as well as down days. The up days, although sometimes rare, are great. But, nothing will be shown for it if you don't force yourself to make time for it. What I found in the last 18 months is that I'll never ever be successful if I'm just sitting around on the couch, waiting for an idea to strike me. My best ideas always strike me when I'm working on something else. So, this drawing is dedicated to one person that inspires me to work everyday, Becky Pelley. The quote made me think of you and me, and all of the things we're trying to achieve at work. :)

Great drawing Tab! Your post is so serendipitous.....I just wrote about how I'm in a little bit of a slump where every mark I make is a struggle. Glad to see it's flowing for you. I gave you a little "shout-out" on my blog! http://jennifermjohansson.blogspot.com/2012/05/finding-spark.html

LOVE! The drawing, the quote, the dedication and our SHARED journeys on paper, at school and "off-road!" We make the BEST team ever! Believe me, the inspiration is mutual! Synergy Rocks...and so do we!
