Today's "drawing" is loosely based on a still life that is currently set up in my art room. I just picked two of my fave objects for this stylized drawing in Sharpie with watercolor wash. I kept it simple for today, but did a little bit of collage on the outer border. There's this student of mine who is just going gangbusters here in the spring. I think she should be nicknamed Miss Midas, because everything she touches...gold. Pure talent. So, I saw her drawing and painting in this style, so I was inspired to give it a shot. I think she does it better than me. Tear of pride for her forming in corner of my eye...uh-oh...gathering mass...streak...fall....splat.

You woudn't be a good teacher if you didn't cry every now and then- I mean a prideful cry, not an "Oh, help me! What am I doing here" cry! The artwork is fabulous, as always!
