...3 years later Video #37 (Day 74?)

I had a hard time with this one. I'm rusty I guess. But, I was determined to see it through. This quarantine has got me going BONKERS with all my spare time, but I can't seem to actually finish any thing I start, so I was being a stubborn #@%$! on this, but I just was NOT in the mood I guess. It's hard to have all this time, and all these things you could be doing, but you find yourself staring out the window for hours on end imagining doing all these things...only to wake up from your stupor to see it's late in the day and you've done NOTHING. UGH. I always think, gosh those people who get to work from home are so LUCKY! Now I understand that that is not the life for me. I'm struggling with my productivity, but I think having this art journaling video thing ramp back up will make me feel better and like I'm able to accomplish SOMETHING. So here it is... the first quarantine page, the BLAH page.

Heading into uncertainty....so I dreamed my path is lined with roses. Because it is. I have many people around me that support me, so it's not all that scary to be done with high school teaching and TOTALLY...ON...MY....OWN  with my art studio. It's a weird feeling...I SO BADLY wanted to be done with school, but it was a bit of a security blanket; a safe path. But the path I'm on now has all kinds of obstacles (both mental and actual) that I have to navigate. But, I will persevere! I will enter this forest of unknown and forge my path. Because I know the roses are there, and I can pause every once in a while and appreciate them along the way of this journey. See the time-lapse video at: https://youtu.be/SMRmXjgi3uQ

Created 5/24/2017. If there is anything I can say about this page, it's this: I have NO PLAN when I start these things. I paused this video a LOT and sat there thinking What the....am I going to do next? Oh well, some pages are like that. I ended up making a lot of mistakes (you'll see in the video) and then recuperating from them (hopefully). Not what I expected at all, as I wanted to do something about SPRING (or the lack thereof) with that pretty flower stencil I used to prep this page. I made this page March 21, so long ago that I lost the beginning picture. But, I'm finally back on the horse and making more videos. This page is me trying like hell to let some things go that were weighing me down. It's almost June, and I'm still working on it. I'll get there....

Gold leafing, no matter how it's applied (pretty sloppily in this case) is always just the best thing for a pop of shimmer. Video at https://youtu.be/7gZAkCEH3qQ
