I completed this one in November after taking a cab ride in Chicago. I left my phone in the back seat and didn't realize it for about 20 minutes. I had not jotted down the cab company, nor the cab driver's name. But, we had a lovely conversation about politics--it's nice when you can bond with someone over something that is so controversial. Anyway, I believe there is still good in the world because not only did he answer the phone when I called it from the hotel lobby, HE BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE HOTEL he dropped me at! What a guy!!
Chad and I saw him drive by the next morning, and he jotted down the cab company and number. I still need to send him a thank you. I will.
Day 57 and 58. Ugh. How am I going to keep this up? Well, here's how: I am a persistent, stubborn, and proud person. I know that if I don't complete this task I will be SO MAD at myself! So, I will keep going, just like I always do--stubbornly and headstrong into the wind and through the storms that are coming my way. I don't care. This is a part of me that I AM SHARING WITH YOU. Take it or leave it.
Today's page was actually a workshop I held last night--we had a good time, but I made this a long time ago and I didn't want to do a spoiler alert thing, so I held it until the day after my workshop. One of my favorites. Totally inspired by Oopsy Daisy art, this amazing kids' decor artist; check her out here: http://www.oopsydaisy.com/

Wow. I think at some point, this page had a chance at being pretty. Somewhere, it took a turn for the worse and I totally got frustrated and just took it out on the page. Ugh. I hate when that happens! But....it made me do something I never let myself do---not worry about it being perfect. I always claim to be a "recovering perfectionist" and it is true. I have issues....but don't we all?

My attempt at the northern lights today. I hear we have a super moon tomorrow, so I was celestially motivated. And, the Martin Luther King, Jr. quote struck me in regards to all the turmoil we're all suffering due to the recent election. Surely through this darkness, we'll be able to see the good parts more clearly. That's all I have to say about that.
A day late on this one. I'm officially really behind and nervous I won't be able to actually follow through on this commitment. Ugh!
I thought for sure I was a goner. Almost gave up after #50. I will admit, I have been about a week ahead in this so far, but I have NOTHING ahead now. It has finally caught up to me. Might be because I...I don't know...am starting a new business? But, I still need that outlet, so I'm going to try to do this page tonight/tomorrow morning to keep up with this. Aaaaaagh!!!!
Oddly, this page is fitting for today for many reasons. I was actually talking about my new studio, but since Donald Trump just got elected yesterday, I feel that it's the most optimistic thing I can possibly say right now. I truly hope things go right. I will never like the man as a person. He's said and done too many outrageously offensive things towards so many people, but I surely do hope that he can fulfill all of his painfully vague campaign promises. Anyway, didn't think it would line up with today, but it did. So there.
I ALSO HOPE that my new business venture goes right. I can't focus on the possibility of failure right now. Everything will work out, as long as I work hard.

Today's starter page is some alcohol ink spray through a stencil. Love these sprays, but I make my own and haven't quite found the perfect spray bottle. I even love it when they bleed through the paper to the other side--unless I have a finished page on the other side, then it ruins it. But I sprayed this page while I was prepping a bunch of pages, so it's all good.
Loving the bright colors and whimsy in today's page. Started with just some fun mark-making, then I "found" a little neighborhood in there. Brought it out with some outlines, and then filled in like a coloring book!
